ABOUT

in2gr8mentalhealth

in2gr8mentalhealth is a centre for valuing, destigmatising and supporting lived experience of mental health difficulties in mental health professionals. We are all human and mental health difficulties are common in our human population, no matter what role you hold. It is how we understand and engage with mental health that matters, which takes compassion and knowledge in the face of a subject that has been stigmatised for as long as we can all remember.

in2gr8mentalhealth is powered by its peer network of mental health professionals with lived experience. It gives support and a range of offerings (mentoring, workshops and webinars), working with all pillars of the mental health scene (peers, training courses, professional bodies and NHS trusts and workplaces).

We work to destigmatise lived experience of mental health in mental health professionals by promoting narratives of hope through our work.

Opening Night was a resounding success!

Art work by mental health professionals with experience of mental health difficulties.

We work with professional bodies to contribute to the development of position statements, policies and guidance aimed at supporting, destigmatising and valuing lived experience of mental health difficulties in the mental health professions.

Workplaces

We work with NHS trusts and other workplaces through providing talks about stigma in systems, to inspire, and raise awareness of compassionate practice.
