ABOUT

in2gr8mentalhealth

in2gr8mentalhealth is a centre for valuing, destigmatising and supporting lived experience of mental health difficulties in mental health professionals. We are all human and mental health difficulties are common in our human population, no matter what role you hold. It is how we understand and engage with mental health that matters, which takes compassion and knowledge in the face of a subject that has been stigmatised for as long as we can all remember.

in2gr8mentalhealth is powered by its peer network of mental health professionals with lived experience. It offers peer support and a range of services (mentoring, consulting, workshops and webinars), working with all pillars of the mental health scene (peers, training courses, professional bodies and NHS trusts/workplaces).

We work to destigmatise lived experience of mental health in mental health professionals by promoting narratives of hope through our work.

Peers

We offer peer support, mentoring and advocacy services. We help you think about your narrative and can help you with choices around sharing and promoting the value of your lived experience in your professional role.

Training Courses

We work with professional training courses to destigmatise and promote the value of lived experiene during professional training, through reflective work, reading seminars and interactive workshops for trainees and course staff.

Professional Bodies

We work with professional bodies to contribute to the development of position statements, policies and guidance aimed at supporting, destigmatising and valuing lived experience of mental health difficulties in the mental health professions.

Workplaces and Trusts

We work with NHS trusts and other workplaces at a systemic level to challenge the stigma that can surround lived experience of mental health difficulties in staff. We provide CPD, workshops and consulting services for organisations.
